Early Years

Winds blew harsh across the grassy backyard as two boys ran across it, chased by what seemed to be an Akita dog with ball clamped between its teeth.
Splash!
Bands of ripples could be seen on the surface of the big pool just meters away from where the dog stood still, barking as the two boys dived deep into the water.

"Look, brother. I think we have failed–" Sebastian pushed his hair back before continuing, "Sadie is still very afraid of the water."
The older boy nodded and swam to the side of the pool, and got himself out.
"I think– we could've done better."

Seth grew up in California, after he was adopted by an Indonesian couple when he was just 3 years old. His biological parents passed away because of an accident and his grandmother could not afford his living expenses. At that time, it was normal for economically struggling Korean parents to put their children up for adoption abroad. And that was exactly what his grandmother back in Korea did.
He spent his childhood just fine, especially because his adoptive parents love him just as much as they love their son, Sebastian.

The siblings, along with their mother Agatha moved to Indonesia in 2010. Both Seth and Sebastian transferred to an international school in Jakarta. Their father, Ben, stayed in California after landing a job at the Google headquarters.
Seth was just an average student unlike his genius brother, but he did just fine. He was also considered smart among his peers for his quick wit and creativity.

Seth enrolled in University of Nottingham Malaysia majoring in English Language and Literature. He graduated in just three years and moved back to Indonesia, pursuing his career as a poet.
